Job Description Summary :

Supports the departmental mission of providing pleasant mealtime experiences to patients, associates, physicians, volunteers, visitors and the public through the operation of the cafeteria service.

This is a part time position, working 45 hours biweekly. Will work both day and evening shifts, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

This position is a relief position works in Café, Dishroom, Trayline, and Salads, plus may be cross trained in another cafeteria position.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. According to specific procedures, functions as cashier during designated times and is responsible for accuracy of prices charged.
a. Accountable for accuracy of cash register monies and tapes.
2. Supplies cafeteria with menued items in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
a. Set up steamtable to provide necessary foods in a timely manner; keep replenished as necessary.
b. Responsible for arrangement and maintenance of salad bar, salad bar temperatures, refrigerated cases, beverages, and countertop sale items.
3. Ensures cafeteria tables and fixtures are maintained clean and safe.
4. Plates cold food items in an attractive manner and stocks the items in the cafe display cases/grill area/storage areas.
5. Operate cafeteria grill in a safe, attractive manner.  Responsible for grill temperatures and cleaning the grill hood.
Education and Experience Required:

Eighth grade education.
