Overview

Summary:  The Senior Depot Associate – Parts Receiving is responsible for the receipt, verification, and recording of all parts and materials for the Inventory Department.  The Parts Receiver works closely with planners and the In-Transit Associate to prioritize receipts and resolve issues.  As a Senior Depot Associate, this position is expected to exhibit a higher level of responsibility showing good judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques.  This position is a member of the Inventory Department will be trained and provide backup in all areas of the department.

Essential Functions:

-Physically re-palletize product.
-Coordinate deliveries and pallet moves with Receiving Dock.
-Move pallets off dock in a timely manner.
-Physically receive and verify all parts and materials to packing slip.
-Utilize SAP to receive and post parts and materials to designated locations, process DOA and –R optics, issue parts out, receive parts in, and complete transfers.
-Coordinate with planners to receive all hot parts receipts.
-Complete receiving projection and inbound tracking spreadsheets.
-Make note of and quarantine any damaged goods and discrepancies and report accordingly.
-Systematically process receipts and materials for put-away in a productive flow based on priority and first in, first out (FIFO).
-Maintain the integrity of the inventory at all times by following proper processes.
-Deliver product to appropriate personnel within the designated time frame.
-Stock material in proper warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and rotation.
-Fill part requisitions in an accurate and timely manner.
-Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
-Ensure all items and/or boxes are properly packed and labeled according to quality standards.
-Perform re-label processes, ensuring all parts and boxes are labeled with correct part number.
-Perform daily equipment inspections, accurately report and document all findings.
-Operate a motorized equipment while complying with all safety rules, prioritizing safety of self and others at all times.
-Respond to verbal or written requests in a professional and timely manner.
-Accurately document down time.
-Report customer or operational areas of concern to management immediately.
-Regular attendance and timeliness.

Additional Responsibilities:

-Assist in daily cycle counts, as needed.
-Assist in resolving put away issues.
-Assist in completing departmental material transfers.
-Cross-train in other support departments to assist, as needed.
-File paperwork in the appropriate location.
-Ensure 6S compliance.
-Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

-Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
-Must have a minimum of six (6) months’ previous experience with an inventory department or similar industry.
-Must be able to achieve cherry/order picker certification in our company program within 14 days from hire.
-Must be able to achieve forklift certification in our company program within 30 days from hire.
-Previous forklift and cherry/order picker experience is preferred.
-Must be computer literate with Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel.
-Must have strong and accurate data entry skills.
-Must have prior warehouse management system (WMS) experience, preferably SAP.
-Must have interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
-Must have the ability to adapt to various situations and adjust to shifting priorities.
-Must be able to plan and organize efficient work activities with little supervision.
-Must be able to exhibit strong, independent judgment.
-Must be able to read and comprehend internal documents and written work instructions.
-Must be able to work with numbers, retaining part numbers, verifying part numbers, counting, addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
-Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface with the customer and all levels of the organization with a positive, professional, and customer-focused approach.
-Must have the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Physical, Mental Requirements and Work Environment:

-Must be able to lift and carry up to 49 lbs. frequently, unassisted.
-Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. occasionally.
-Must be able to stand and walk constantly.
-Must be able to work in an environment with fluctuating high and low temperatures.
-Must be able to see and read small, fine print.
-Must be able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noises.
-Must be able to balance, reach, grasp, hear, and stoop frequently.
-Must be able to kneel and crouch occasionally.
-Will be exposed to dust frequently.
-May be exposed to fumes occasionally.

Equipment Used:

-Computer frequently.
-Cherry picker/order selector occasionally.
-Forklift occasionally.
-Pallet jack occasionally.
-Push cart occasionally.
